Socially Responsible Backpacks Featuring Ethically Sourced Textiles.
This current run has ended, but there are more recent runs for Ethnotek Raja Backpacks. Click here to go to the most recent run.
For most of us, we’d get a little bored wearing the same clothes everyday. Yet when it comes to carry, we’ll often sport the same bag or wallet for years. Ethnotek lets you change it up simply and quickly. But more than that, it provides a great canvas to showcase fair trade textiles, so you can change continents as easily as patterns. The Raja, in particular, is lightweight and holds alot a surprising amount of things....making it great for tech, those who cycle or just as a general work commute bagpack. Definitely worth a look!
The main feature of the pack is the interchangeable front panels, called Threads. They can be purchased as a separate element to the main pack, and are the locally sourced components of the bag from places like India, Vietnam, Africa and Asia. For this hunt we are featuring the most popular India patterns. These fabrics give life to the bag and you can always purchase more to change around depending on your mood.
It took awhile, but we're super excited to launch these amazing backpacks at an exclusive, one time only discount! Don't miss out, limited stocks per color way!

Ethnotek creates laptop & travel bags that feature ethically sourced handmade textiles. Your purchase sustains employment for artisans around the globe.
At Ethnotek, our mission is to keep culture alive by creating high quality laptop and travel bags that feature ethically sourced handmade textiles. Your purchase sustains employment for the art of hand printing, weaving and embroidery with our partnering artisan villages in Ghana, Guatemala, India, Indonesia and Vietnam. Ethnotek is so much more than just a bag! It's a celebration of culture, it's a community, it's a global movement! Come join the Tribe, together we can keep culture alive!
Threads™: Most Ethnotek bags can be customized via the removable front panel called a Thread™. Each Thread™ is created from handmade textiles that are sourced in person and purchased directly from the artisan or craft village in which they were created. We are continually scouring the globe to find textiles that embody the vibrancy and beauty of the people who create them and the traditions they represent. We release new Threads™ regularly, allowing you to update the look of your bag without having to buy a new one entirely. This puts a whole new meaning to changing your threads
Keeping Culture Alive: The one thing all of our weavers and artisans have in common is the fact that their craft is disappearing. Every year they see less and less local demand for their fabrics due to low yield and long lead times. Traditional techniques are quickly being replaced by machines and factory labor in major cities, drastically reducing the amount of jobs and industry in the regions where it is needed most. By creating new demand for these traditional handcraft practices, we are in a sense forging an effort to keep them alive and well and in the same villages from which they came.
Cultural Preservation: The last and most important part of our mission is to spread the idea that we should all celebrate each other's differences more often. The only way culture can stay alive is if we keep it that way. Culture runs deep; from the tribes of Yunnan Province, to the Subways of New York City. From the Ghats of Varanasi to the Cafes of Paris. To ensure the survival of these incredibly interesting differences we must learn about them and retell their story. This is why we see our bags as a flag. A flag that you wave which says, "I care". To end this point with a quote: "Though we travel the world over to find the beautiful, we must carry it with us or we find it not." - Ralph Waldo Emerson.
Are the other designs like vietnam available? I can only see the India designs from the dropdown box.
And I am still thinking to get 30L or the 46L. Do they qualify as a carry-on during airflights?
Hi @shaoster! Unfortunately we only have the India designs available for this promotion, group order pricing! The good news is that you can always swap up the thread designs in the future by purchasing Ethnotek Threads (http://www.ethnotekbags.com/collections/threads)
Ethnotek doesn't specifically advertise this but looking at the guidelines on Changi Airport's guidelines: ( total length, width and height must measure no more than 115cm ) the 30L definitely qualifies. 46L's dimensions exceed it by 1cm but personally i think this wouldn't be a big issue if you are planning to use it as a hand carry!
Let me know if this helps?
So you are saying if we do not over pack them and tighten/compress the bag, thus, the bagpack does not look heavy and big? It should qualify as a carry on cabin baggage?
The 46L you meant? Is it possible to the bagpack delivered to Popstation at Clementi Mall? So I would just checkout with the address of the Popstation?
