I've been in the market for wireless headphones for use while running and have already gone through quite a few pairs. Tried it in the store, was thoroughly impressed by the sound quality and its fit (jogging in place at the store), so I pulled the trigger. I've since gone on 2 runs with these on and I am really amazed at how well they stay in place, even while sweating up a storm! Their limited lifetime warranty + their "perspiration proof warranty" also makes me feel at ease with these earbuds - the company really stands behind their product as something for workouts! Now I want to buy another pair for the missus, and hopefully we can get a GroupHunt going on this!
I've had experience with the Bluebuds X, and when my warranty was up, the only place to get the warranty claim was with Jaybirds themselves. So I had to send the earpiece back to the USA. And that cost me $55 via fedex. So everytime the earpiece dies, I would have to spend $55 to send them back. No doubt it is a good product with sweat warranty and good sound, but if there's no local warranty, I don't think it's worth it.
My understanding is that for the Bluebuds, there was no official distributor in S'pore. But for the X2s, there is an official distributor, called Leader Radio Technologies. The pair I bought here are covered by them. @GroupHunt, can confirm who would provide warranty if we buy via this hunt?

Glad to say that there is most definitely local warranty is covered by the official distributor Leader Radio Technologies. This local warranty is valid for 1 year, and then the lifetime warranty is with Jaybird. Hope that helps! =)
Bluebuds X is also distributed and had the warranty, also by Leader Radio Tech but the warranty is only for a year. The lifetime sweat warranty is direct with Jaybirds themselves once the local warranty is up. So if there's no local warranty/distributor when you buy from here, then the lifetime warranty doesn't cover. I have checked with Jaybirds on this as my Bluebuds X is current with them for a warranty change and I have enquired with them already.
OOOH, gotcha. Understand now. So that means the lifetime warranty isn't as valuable if you're not in the US. Thanks for the clarification!

Hey Community - I just wanted to give everyone an update about this much discussed hunt!
The team is really excited at how many insightful comments we’ve generated from the community. As @yanhan pointed out earlier, you guys and girls are the backbone of what makes this entire Hunt process work. After all, it’s everyone's eyes and ears that helps us constantly uncover the latest products at the best prices.
We read every single one of your comments on the site, and always strive to take the necessary actions to serve the community even if it’s not the easiest route. We did take slightly longer to reply to some comments because we were trying to figure out why there was such a large price discrepancy as we secured the hunt from the official local distributor. On hindsight, we should have responded swiftly to at least let you know we were listening, and will strive to do so from now on.
For those interested, it turns out that Amazon was having a Father’s Day special, and often also practices dynamic pricing between their in-house fulfillment and 3rd party vendors via their marketplace. At the same time, there was slated to be a price drop for the X2s, given that the X3s were newly released. However, this price drop was slated for today - June 10th, so we weren’t allowed to reveal too much while being caught in between a rock and a hard place.
Just for your info, we’ve offered everyone who’s committed an updated hunt price of $199, and will continue to maintain this price on future hunts of the X2 given the official price revision. The Grouphunt perks remain that there’s a year-long local warranty on top of the lifetime international warranty, at the best local price available. Through our conversations with the community, we’ve been told that the local warranty is a key factor, and is even more important for tech products. While we recognize that value is measured differently by every individual, we believe in our community exists members who realise value is not just about the lowest price - but also extends to include the assurance of quality, authenticity, and service.
