Hobonichi Planner A6 Book
English | January Start | Monday-Start Week

The Hobonichi Planner is the only English version of the Japanese Original Hobonichi Techo, specially created in collaboration with ARTS&SCIENCE owner Sonya Park. It takes all the great features of the Original Hobonichi Techo, including the one-page-per-day design, lay-flat binding and daily quotes, and refines them into a clean, simplified design.

The graph paper in the English version is slightly enlarged to 4mm to allow users to write comfortably in any language. Timelines are simplified to a single 12 to denote noon so users can completely customize it to their own schedule (or ignore it completely), and each day is also conveniently labeled with the number of the consecutive week that year, from 1 to 52. Features such as a list of international holidays and international size charts cater to the worldwide community that comes together through this book. The chic black cover features a subtle engraving of the Japanese characters for techo along with the ARTS&SCIENCE logo. New for 2017 is a special page to help you get ready for the new year. It’s a great place to write your reflections on the past year, list your goals for the year ahead, copy down important information from last year’s planner, or do anything else you need to feel prepared. The Hobonichi Planner is only available with a Monday-start week.

A6 (Japanese Paperback) Width: 105mm x Height: 149mm Thickness: 14mm (4.1" x 5.9" × 0.6" )

English version of the Hobonichi Techo

The Hobonichi Planner is the English version of the Japanese Hobonichi Techo. Under the direction of Sonya Park, owner of the select shop ARTS&SCIENCE, we've fine-tuned the planner, creating a simple, refined design that's easy for anyone in the world to use.

One-page-per-day format

Similar to its Japanese counterpart, the planner features a format with a page devoted to each day. There's lots of open space to plan the day ahead and enjoy recording your memories and activities. Think of the pages as containers for random ideas, with a clear record of the date. Paste magazine clippings, ticket stubs and photos to make the planner something completely unique – your imagination is the only limit.

180-degree lay-flat binding

First-time users are often surprised by the planner's special stitch binding that allows it to open and lay completely flat. Keeping the book open on a desk allows you to keep up with thoughts that cross your mind by making it easy jot something down in a flash. It also makes pasting and decorating the pages very comfortable.

Tomoe River paper

The planner pages are printed on the same paper used for the Japanese version. This thin, light paper, called Tomoe River paper, is strong and resistant to bleeding – an ideal choice for a planner. It's the reason why the 450-page Hobonichi Planner is so compact.

Daily quotes

From the heartfelt to the humorous to the whimsical, each spread of the planner features a quote specially selected from the planner's parent site, Hobo Nikkan Itoi Shimbun, and translated into English.

Hi. Will you open another run after this one ends?

joelleong a month ago

Hey Charisse! If the next re-run gathers 25 requests we will. However, given that many folks from the writing community have already stocked up their Hobonichi's in anticipation for next year, we'd advise to join this run to be safe =D
