This hunt has ended. However, you can start a hunt for the same product. After 25 requests, we’ll re-launch the hunt.
Westwood Sunglasses was founded in the outdoor recreation mecca of Ogden, Utah. The need was simple - a go anywhere, do anything pair of shades made with eco-friendly materials. Each pair is handcrafted from a high-quality wood, the lenses are polarized, and the hinges are flexible. And yes, wood floats.
The Tribal Collection features five new frames inspired by art from cultures worldwide. Each stems from unique designs found in modern and ancient societies. We'll let them speak for themselves.
Ever looked at your phone screen with polarized lenses? It's psychedelic to say the least. But more importantly, polarized lenses reduce glare from indirect sun light on the surface of water or the window of the car in front of you. These Tapestry wayfarers know just how much sun light is good for the soul.
The rigid shaped Tattoo is for the men, the manly men. While wearing these shades, the following activities include, but are not limited to, chopping wood, hunting wild game, and killing spiders.
The Temple is designed to accentuate the ladies. The rounded shape and more fitted, narrow width has the unanimous approval of the female crowd. Wear only if you are prepared for attention to ensue.
When life gets you down and the sun is blaring hot, you need the help of these soaring eagles pointing you forward and straight. Where ever the wind takes you, these subtle wooden wayfarer shades will sooth the mind.
I'm sure you probably knew this already but wood floats. What also floats in water? Bread, apples... very small rocks (see Monty Python and the Holy Grail). But those things are clearly not as attractive as these shades. The sleek Tundra wayfarer floats in water.
We won't judge you if you decide to scroll through all five again.
In order for the Tribal Collection to reach fruition, Westwood Sunglasses needs to raise $6,500 to fund initial manufacturing costs with the ability to scale through more orders. Through Kickstarter, backers will receive wholesale pricing (50% discount), be the first to wear the new Tribal Collection, and become ambassadors of the brand.
Backers will be able to pick up a pair through June on Kickstarter. Prices will then double to retail pricing as we enter stores. The pairs will then be manufactured through July and delivered mid to late August.
